The Lesson I Learned on My Blogging Content & Sharing

I have been wondering what does it take to get my blog content shared by my visitors on my blog. I started my new blog a few months ago. Since then I’ve tried to stick to a strict schedule and stay on a good array of topics under specific categories. I am also trying to post compelling articles on my own experiences and opinions without turning it into a research term paper. Not that a good researched article isn’t welcome from time to time.
I am a former community owner that specialized in clan gaming and the services around them. I am have so many experiences that I could fill a book with them. It just takes time for me to remember and put those experiences on paper.
I try to keep to an article schedule of four per week. Articles are posted Tuesday thru Friday. I decide the topics from a short list of ideas that I think would be cool to write about. And why not? Its my blog and I am in the beginning of a blogger career, while I search for work with my skills. I also write down a blog article ideas constantly, as I try to change the topic category from the previous day.
I found out the content on my site that gets shared the most is the following: must be interesting, factual, engaging and share a wide common interest. I wrote an article last month, I wish I could take back. You could tell once you read it that I was trying too hard and it missed its mark by a wide margin. The article was on Warcraft and while it was a good idea at the time. The delivery of the content was a miserable failure. It came off as content troll material and poorly planned. I can no longer submit my own site content to Reddit now due to that fact. I posted a few blog articles before where the traffic on my site temporarily increased. In the end, I didn’t keep any of those readers.
I am working harder on continuing to provide quality content to my blog viewers and making sure it spreads a positive message. I do care and should care how my readers perceive my content. For every article that gets a quality share, it puts a big smile on my face knowing I am becoming a better blogger and writer online. Thank you for reading my blog
